Mood: a Gift or a Skill?
Dealer's Choice

Some days, we wake up to the warm glow of the sun, a gentle bustling of trees in the breeze, and a comforting smile from our partner. Β
Our phones are notificationless - no news, urgent emails, missed calls or texts.
Our alarms lay dormant - a sign of a restful night's sleep.
Our minds are fresh, optimism is abundant, and we are eager to pursue the possibilities ahead of us.
Maybe it's because of the environment.
Maybe it's because the chemicals in our brains are particularly aligned.
Some days, our moods are simply gifted to us; wrapped in a box with a bow on top.
But it's also clearly true that we can do things to improve our mood - exercise, positive thinking, who we spend time with, and the media we consume.
Everything is a choice.
So if mood is a choice, that means we can choose to improve.
And if we can improve, that means mood is also a skill.
The best way to improve a skill is to practice.
So... what skills are you practicing to ensure your mood makes your day, not the other way?
That's it for this issue, everyone. If you made it this far, thank you for your time. I appreciate you tremendously for being a member of our community!
As always, I encourage you to send any feedback, thoughts, or ideas - your opinion matters to me and I'd love to hear what you have to say.
Have a week,
Whit
